We are pleased to inform you about the start of our project at Hogar Copprome, in our first visit the ground was prepared for the production tunnel. The project includes the construction of a greenhouse in an 8 x 21 meter Mega Tunnel that will be located at the Copprome Children’s Home in the northern region of Honduras. This greenhouse will help this home by providing children and adolescents with an agricultural education that will also help them

it will provide a constant source of fresh vegetables to supplement your basic diet. We hope once the greenhouse is in production, the home can provide a better diet for the minors and that the savings are used for other products or activities within the home.

The Copprome Children’s Home is part of our “Angeles de la Esperanza” program with Food for the Poor, and both FFP and CEPUDO continue to support this Children’s Home on a monthly basis with the provision of basic grains, vitaminized rice, canned food, cleaning and hygiene products. , and on special occasions gifts are donated that are given to young people within the home.

Honduras, like the rest of the world, is going through a very difficult time due to the COVID-19 coronavirus. Honduras identified its first two cases on March 11, 2020. Before the current pandemic, Honduras was already facing serious social and economic problems. During this pandemic, an even greater number of people will need food to survive. With a food source on site, Copprome will have less of a need to purchase these vegetables, and young people will also learn critical agricultural skills that will serve them well into adulthood.
