Thanks to the cooperation of CEPUDO and Food for the Poor, The Agricultural and Agroforestry Institute school building was built, it is located in the community of San Marcos, Municipality of Guaimaca, Francisco Morazán. Previously, this institute operated within a community center provided by the community, which was in poor condition. Likewise, the bathrooms were poorly equipped and insufficient for the student population.
The San Marcos Agricultural / Agroforestry Institute will provide a curriculum that will promote environmental conservation, including sustainable use of water, best agricultural practices, how to mitigate forest fires, and how to preserve the important biological diversity that is native to Honduras. .
With this new building, an increase in the student population for next year is expected to 60-70 students because is the only institute in the community of San Marcos and neighboring towns.
