Thanks to the support of Food for the Poor, and in joint collaboration with SOL Foundation in Roatan, Clinica Esperanza, Roatan Because We Care and Island Shipping, we have managed to supply a 40-foot container of food as part of one of our projects in support of food security of the inhabitants in the island of Roatan.
In just under 3 hours, an incredible team of volunteers was able to unload more than 36,000 pounds of food that left our warehouses for the Island of Roatan. The team of volunteers in Roatan is working hard to pack the bags of food to distribute to those who need it the most. It is expected to begin with the distribution of food this upcoming week and in total to be able to support more than 2,000 inhabitants. Thanks to the organizations in Roatan, working together, more products will be included in these bags.
