Health is the greatest gift we have and we must take care of it and protect it. That is why health is one of our primary areas of focus at CEPUDO. We seek to support health throughout the country, both in large cities and in remote villages and communities. Thanks to our collaboration with Food for the Poor, we were able to build a health center in the village of La Mesa in the municipality of La Villa de San Francisco, Francisco Morazán. The health center has two examination rooms, a general consultation area, waiting room, pharmacy, reception, storage room and bathrooms. The clinic is expected to treat many diseases related to the respiratory and digestive systems, as well as chronic and cardiovascular diseases.
This project will meet the need of three villages to have an equipped and adequate facility to meet their medical needs. A total of 805 beneficiaries will be able to improve their health considering that they will no longer have to walk long distances to get treatment. It will also be of great help because they will now be able to centralize the medical brigades in this area and thus support the population in aspects of nutrition and vaccination.
