When we met Dilcia and her family for the first time, we noticed that they had a lot of hope and the desire to improve their life. She spends all of her time caring for her children, and her husband and her eldest son are the only ones who work when they are able to find daily jobs. They lived in a house made out of nylon, without access to electricity and with limited access to clean water. When it rained or was very windy, the nylon would break and their house would flood.

The family dreamed of having a safe house, and now that dream is a reality thanks to God and to the collaboration of CEPUDO and our unconditional donor Food for the Poor. A dignified new house was built for them and will now be a place where they will create many memories together. They now won´t have to worry every time it rains.
