CEPUDO, in alliance with Food for the Poor, FUNAZUCAR, Azucarera Choluteca, and the Municipality of Marcovia, inaugurated the Lorenzo Munguía Clinic in Marcovia, Choluteca on September 25, 2020.
Kelvin Girón, a doctor who is social service term at this clinic, expressed his gratitude and told us about the impact this clinic will have:
¨I want to thank everyone who has collaborated in the construction of this clinic. In the previous clinic, there was not enough space to take precautionary measures with the situation we are currently experiencing with this pandemic. This new building is more spacious and makes it easier for us to locate patients and organize them to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We have several examination rooms and they each have their own bathroom. This is very important as we are able to wash our hands after examining each patient and it provides the patient with more privacy as well. Patients feel calm when they arrive at the clinic as it now has the appropriate conditions. We are extremely grateful for your support to this community.¨
